Tcheumeo captures second French gold at Grand Slam Tokyo

Again a European final in the women’s U78kg class and again a French woman to win in the end. At the last day of the Grand Slam in Tokyo Audrey Tcheumeo was able to win her first Grand Slam ever in her career. In the final she defeated Catherine Jacques from Belgium.

Japanese quartet wins U60kg at Grand Slam of Tokyo

Japan was perhaps expected to win the U60kg class at the Grand Slam of Tokyo at day one. But four places on the stage was a performance to the extreme. TOKYO — World champion Yuka Nishida spearheaded Japan's challenge on the opening day of the Grand Slam Tokyo judo tournament on Saturday, as the host nation won four titles out of four on offer.
