Apia, SAMOA Stages World Cup Olympic Qualifier

Middletown seventh grader sweeps Judo competition, earns gold!

Madison Geores, a seventh grader at Woodrow Wilson Middle School and member of the Blue Dragon Judo Club, swept two divisions and earned two gold medals in competition Sunday.



She competed in her natural 11- and 12-year-old division in Danvers, Mass., then took on challengers in the 13- to 16-year-old division as well.

World Cup Samoa - Five medals for Canada

Montreal, November 13, 2010 – Canada won five medals late Friday night at a World Cup judo competition in Samoa. Silver medals were earned by Antoine Valois-Fortier, Alexandre Émond and Bianca Ockedahl in men’s 81 kilos, 90 kilos and women’s 48 kilos respectively.
